I also, just to be thorough, switched by clicking the Dock icon instead (which is something I never do that might be what you were talking about, I know some people use the Dock all the time, and maybe that was causing extra windows) I command-tabbed between Finder and Safari some twenty times, and not a single extra window. There are many millions of Big Sur users and for sure there would be an outcry if it were the case. It is annoying and it should not happen.īut you have to ask yourself: if this were a deliberate change, it ought to happen to everyone. Of course I can understand it is a concern.
